Rumor was a Zoe /Rascal daughter with vivid black pigment, a sweet, gentle personality and outstanding movement. She was the first in her litter to finish her championship and she did it with ease. Rumor was an elegant girl with beautiful bone and structure and she has passed on many of her best qualities to her puppies. Her first litter, sired by Ch. Augie, produced Kate, who finished her championship at less than 13 months of age and who had a Specialty B.O.S. her first time out as a special. Laser, from her second litter, completed her championship and also produced lovely puppies. Puppies from her last litter can be seen on their new page at Rumor X Angus Boys.

Rumor was bred to Ch. Angus for her final litter and and then enjoyed her retirement in a wonderful home with Robert Johnson. It was a wonderful match and we are so grateful she was able to have the life he gave her. She was much loved her entire life...first by us and then by Robert.  Rumor crossed the "Rainbow Bridge" on August 8, 2006, after a very sudden illness. Robert and her companion, Ch. Britain, were there to say goodbye.

Rumor will be missed by all who knew her but she will also be remembered,,,,not only for her valuable contributions to the Dakota breeding program, but for her gentle spirit and devotion to those she loved, most of all Robert.

Thank you, Robert, for giving her a perfect home.
