2001 Best In Sweeps and Best In Futurity,
Britain went on to finish his
Championship from the puppy class!
Britain's father is our group winning, Sawyer and his mother, China, is a full sister to our BIS, BISS Ch. Zoe. Britain's sweet, happy personality combined with a stylish outline and sound movement made him a favorite at matches, and then, at his first shows. At eleven weeks old, Britain won a Puppy Group 1 at an all breed match. In early March, 2001, Brit was Best Junior in Sweeps and Best in Match at the Chicagoland Dalmatian Club Puppy Match. Britain went to his first shows at just 6 months old and was Winner's Dog for a major! Still in the 6-9 month puppy class, he followed up with two more majors in Kalamazoo! Britain has a true show dog attitude and has been a joy to show. In June, 2001, Britain and his sire, Sawyer, traveled to the Dalmatian National Specialty in California. In addition to winning Best In Sweeps at the Southern California Specialty show, he went on to both Best In Sweeps and Best In Futurity at our National Specialty. To the best of our knowledge, he is the first dog to win both Sweeps and Futurity at a DCA National. Next, at just ten months of age, Britain earned his third Specialty Best In Sweeps win at the Western Reserve Specialty and then finished his championship on that Sunday. Brit's show career, from start to end, was accomplished in just SIX all-breed shows by winning five times, with four majors! We are so proud of him.
We'd like to thank everyone for the wonderful support you showed him at ringside. Britain thanks you too. His tail never stopped wagging!
Now retired from the show ring, Britain has joined Ch. Rumor, in a wonderful home in Chicago. Both are well and happy, as shown below..
